I heard about the temples in Wai first time from my father in law's brother.
I had a strong desire to visit that place. In Feb07 we had a trip to Mahabaleswar .
On the way to Mahabaleswar comes the wai city ,which is almost 85 k.m from pune.
Roads from pune to Mahabaleswar is full of Hills and Ghats.
when we reached Wai it was almost afternoon.
Since it was summer that time weather was hot .
We had to search for the temples. Finally we reached near the Dholya Ganapati temple is situated on its Ganapati Ghat.
This is very old and beautiful temple. The idol of Ganapati is built in one single stone and it is very huge one. Near that temple there are two Shiva temples. These are also very old and beautiful temples.
That place is peaceful and religious, not much crowded like Mahabaleswar or Panchagani.
Wai is famous for its temples and banks on the Krishna River.
