MulshiDam situated at the west of pune,supplies electricity to pune city (Tata power has it’s unit there).This is a good picnic place, and the surroundings are full of natural beauties that includes a dam, hilly region of Sahyadri's deep forests. I had seen the beauty of this place from the Tamini ghat when we had our Harihareswar trip.
Me ,my husband and son left for Mulshi on 9th June 07.That was a cloudy day ,I enjoyed the drive .We can see the beauty of hills from Pinagaut Ghat which comes in between our journey from Pune to Mulshi. Road from pune to Mulshi is very good ,you will find bit difficulties in the villages which come in between ,other wise you will definitely enjoy your drive from pune to mulshi.
We had stopped in a motel before Tamini ghat and enjoyed Kandabhaji with tea. From that place the beauty of the lake was very clearly visible . We had decided not to stay more time there and let us go for Lonaval. Hey wait do not get confused now. You must have thinking where Lonaval comes near Mulshi.Well there is one road you will find in Tamini ghat which goes to Lonavala.One of our friend told us ,that road is very good and if want some adventure then go by that way.
We thought ,well we are very adventurous ,let us go that way and have some fun.It is just 56k.m from the Ghat , not a problem at all. But we were wrong .That road was so horrible and it was through a dense forest .Not a single vehicle was going that way.It was so terrible, I thought I am shooting for some Horror movie there. Black clouds every where, hills and trees, different type of sounds and not a single person other than we three. After traveling around 8 k.m the road becomes more horrible and finally we decided to come back from that place.
Anyway I enjoyed that journey too . Something different you know.My overall experience of this trip was memorable and adventurous.
