Harihareshwar is one of the most beautiful place I have visited till now. It is around 200 k.m from pune. This is known as Kashi of Southern India. Me and my family left for Harihareswar on one Friday. This was the first long drive I had with my husband with his intial driving learning days.
We have to cover many Ghats, beautiful hills on the way. After covering so many Hills and Ghats ,when you will come down to a sea shore .I do not know how you will feel that time ,but it was an unique experience for me.
We reached Harihareswar around 5:30 p.m.First thing we did is search for a mottle or guest house. You will not find any such accommodation there rather than MTDC guest house, which you have to book 3to 4 months prior ,but you will definitely get good homely places with small rooms and home made Maharastrian food. We also choose one such accommodation near to the temple.
The temle on the hill is near to sea shore. The temple consists of idols of Brahma - Vishnu - Mahesh and Devi Parvati which is also a rare thing(I have not heard any other such temple till now).
Next day morning we went to the temple. You had good PuJa there .Then we did a prikrama of the temple ,which it self is very beautiful. You will move around the temple on the hill, finally you have to go down through steps and will reach near the sea shore. You can also see the beauty of the sea while doing the Prdakhayana.
we spent the whole morning in the temple, then had our lunch and went to visit MTDC resort which is near the sea shore.Me and My husband had some good time at sea shore there.
Then we left for Shrivardan ,but not able to visit the palces there,as we all were very tensed that time, assuming we had tyre lick.
Next morning my husband and his mother left for the temple around 4 a.m,but as my Kid was very small that time,I was not able to make it.But I visited the temple around 8:30 morning ,then spent some good time with my husband and Kid at beach .
We decided to come back early and on the way we coverd Divyagar ,which is another beautiful place near sea shore. It has one Golden Ganesh Idol in a temple, which the local people got from the sea. That temple is a worth place to visit. The beach there is also very beautiful. But we did not spend much time there,as we have to reach pune .
Truly, Harihareshwar is a place of temples and beautiful seashore. The atmosphere here is very auspicious and creates pleasure. The seashore, beach , the dark woods near the sea and the temple are worth to visit. My overall experience in that trip is memorable.
